Troubleshooting

A starter checklist for common COD Verifier setup issues.

This section is intentionally small for now. As real support cases come in, add specific fixes here.

OTP block is not visible

Check that:

  • The app block was added to the active Thank you or Order status customization.
  • The order used a payment method selected in COD Verifier settings.
  • Verification is enabled.
  • The order has a usable phone number.
  • You saved the checkout or customer account customization after adding the block.

OTP is not sent

Check that:

  • The phone number is valid for the target market.
  • The order exists in Shopify and belongs to the current store.
  • The order's payment method is selected in COD Verifier settings.
  • The OTP has not expired, failed after 3 attempts, or reached the 3-message send limit for that order.

COD fee does not appear

Check that:

  • You created the Shopify shipping rate.
  • The rate name includes the keyword saved in COD Verifier.
  • The rate price includes the amount you want to collect for COD.
  • The customer's cart qualifies for the shipping profile, zone, and order value conditions.
  • The customer qualifies for your COD fee targeting settings, such as first-time-only or order value limits.
  • Your COD Verifier plan includes COD fee rules.
  • COD fee checkout rules are enabled.

COD fee settings save but checkout rules fail

The app might need updated Shopify checkout customization scopes. Reinstall the app or approve the requested scopes, then save COD fee settings again.

Still stuck?

Capture the order number, store domain, payment method name, selected shipping rate, and the verification status shown in COD Verifier before contacting support. That information makes most setup issues much faster to diagnose.
